Türkiye as part of EU?

Seems like they should have been incorporated into EU a long time ago, long time one of Europe's most valuable allies.

I think you must have meant the EU. Turkey has been part of NATO for decades and should be admitted to the EU. Now it seems that the EU snubbing Turkey for years has led to increased Islamicism and thereby more EU resistance. I was pretty indifferent about Turkey until having visited there. Great people, food and sights. Truly wonderful place.

Bingo! The "Western Democracies" are unsurpassed at undermining their own best interests.

At least internationally Cameron seems to be hitting all the right notes. He may turn out to be a Conservative I can respect and admire. Those are pretty thin on the ground these days.

Membership in the EU means no passport to travel member countries.

If they want in perhaps they shouldn't pull publicity stunts like their blockade running, there are some thinking people left in Europe!

I thought that was a very positive statement reminding us all how oppressed those in Gaza are.

It is a problem, I'll grant you. I wish somehow we could restrict the movements of Ohioans outside their borders.

Turkey didn't run the blockade. They simply allowed it to load and then leave for Gaza (after inspecting it for military or otherwise dangerous content). frankly, I wish other countries were as willing to annoy Israel.
