Obie sends best wishes to Muslims

"US President Barack Obama has extended his best wishes to Muslims around the world as Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, starts. "On behalf of the American people, Michelle and I want to extend our best wishes to Muslims in America and around the world,"

Is this viewed as a problem by the right? Will Fox sell this as proof he is Muslim?
or
will this be ignored as would saying Merry Christmas to Christians on Christmas?

They'll probably claim that he's "pandering" to them. That's more important to them than whether he actually is a Muslim. Showing cordiality and respect to that "terroristic cult" is an unforgivable sin in their eyes.

there was just a guy on my TV who told me that no new mosques should be built in America, period.

Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Mitch McConnell are all speakers at
Value Voters Summit along with this guy.

How can a reasoning American be a republican in this day and age?

I see nothing wrong in that link.

I'm quite happy with my current surroundings where I live, and though I won't live a thousand years, I hope things ' here ' stay the same as they are ' here ' now.

You know, it chaps the asses of alot of us that certain types of communities can be built and must be respected by those who don't support them, but we are looked at as the bad guys for wanting to preserve communities for ourselves. Whats the damn difference? We prefer Merry Christmas ourselves .. and they can stick the Happy Holidays.

The difference is this is a free country and you want to limit freedoms to people without your mores.

Tell me something. In a Cristian community, why are our schools told that Merry Christmas cannot be said to a class of students the last day of school before Christmas break? Now YOU tell me whats FREE about thayut. It's not like any parent in these parts would ever complain about a teacher sayin' it.

The only Christian communities I know of are monasteries and convents.
