Blago is convicted ...

... of only one of 24 counts. WTF? It must have been an interesting 14 days of jury deliberation. I suspect he'll be back in court for a retrial though.

He will. Apparently, the jury was deadlocked 11 to 1 to convict on the principle charge of trying to sell Obama's Senate seat, maybe some of the others.

So much for the Fitzgerald magic!

I understand one major issue is that he tried to commit a crime, but didn't succeed.

It would seem that ineptitude has its compensations.

Blago is a rogue and he knows it (and knows everyone else knows it). Sarah is a friggin' moron but doesn't know it. She actually seems to be impressed by her own amoebic intellect and thinks the world should take her seriously because of her "savoir faire."

Lmao!!!

He's been a LOT more quiet than he should be though. Wonder what they threatened/bribed him with.

And great job guys, comparing woman with no known criminal activity to a machine town crook!

I was reacting to BS's statement that Blago amuses him. I do find Blago somewhat amusing, just as I find our past mayor, Marion Barry, or Jim Traficante amusing. That doesn't mean I like or support their crooked antics, just that their roguishness is amusing.

If Sarah were to have a sense of humor or self awareness about her own cluelessness and hypocritical, feigned indignation, I'd find her amusing as well. But she doesn't and I don't.
