The general election has now become a reality show in itself with Trump as the ruthless egomaniac, Hillary the deceitful villain and people will focus on the entertainment aspect rather than the issues.
And we can all thank TV and social media mostly for this.

"As Donald Trump's campaign reels over tapes of the presidential candidate's sexually aggressive comments about women in 2005, the Republican nominee now trails Hillary Clinton by double digits among likely voters, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
The poll, conducted on Saturday and Sunday but before the second presidential debate, shows Clinton with 46 percent support among likely voters in a four-way matchup, compared to 35 percent for Trump.
Libertarian Gary Johnson's support stands at nine percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein garners two percent. In a head-to-head matchup, Clinton's lead over Trump grows to 14 percent (52 percent to Trump's 38 percent.)"

Wow! I wonder how many more tapes are out there?

I am more than convinced that Trump did not expect to nor wanted to win the presidency. In the bargain he has managed to implode the GOP and/or has corrupted and sabotaged the politicians that have supported him, while those running away from him will have an uncertain future. Interesting to see how many seats the GOP will lose in the House and it seems very unlikely that they will hold the senate.
All this with no help from H-->.

I think Trump entered this contest with every intention of winning his way.

Trump has destroyed his so called 'brand' in the process. I expect we'll be seeing yuge gold letters being snatched up right and left off Craigslist next year.

Of course, he did. He's been planning this for decades. Trump doesn't like losing. He wouldn't have entered the race if he hadn't convinced himself that there was a path to victory.
Trump doesn't like losing. If he does lose and after the election some story gets "leaked" that he never really wanted to be president and that the goal was some nebulous plan to make America great again by raising the issues and giving birth to a movement, don't believe it.

I don't think this will affect the outcome of the house and Senate races, as I expect dems
to take the Senate and gop to keep the house. I do imagine it may have an impact on the margins though.
