But then he started doing stuff. I became such a fan that as time has passed he's become, IMO, the best and most effective president in my 66 years. I'll be voting FOR him in 2020. The only other time I voted for, rather than against a candidate was 1980.

Oh, and as with all politicians, I ignore what he says. Talk is cheap. Action is what I focus on. I very much love what he actually does. And it is not lost on me that when some low level federal judge tries to stop his action, upper courts or the SCOTUS usually end up spanking the partisan nincompoop that tried to stop him.

Kinda like what is happening with Judge Sullivan right now.
So, what has he done that has your approval?

The very first thing was really symbolic: Other presidents said they would do it, were looking into it, etc., but never did it. He did it without fanfare and like a boss. He moved the Embassy to Jerusalem.

I was a one issue voter in 2016. I simply wanted the (IMO) unconstitutional obamacare mandate eliminated. Trump got it done. I wanted to get out of all those little wars in Asia and the Mideast. I like what he's done there. Shrinking government, reducing the EPA's power, preventing Global Warming nonsense from becoming the law of the land, and other such stuff are another example.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that I "feel" we have the first "get america back to the constitution of 50 countries under the umbrella of a very limited federation" president in my lifetime. I like the personal freedom it brings. That is supposed to be what makes america great.

This is why polls crack me up.

I remember in 2016 that all the polls had Hillary ahead of Trump even on election day - except one. I'd been watching that one for the last few weeks before the election (the only time I actually watch polls) to see which ones would be most accurate. It's no surprise that they all "tighten up" towards election day, as if a bunch of voters change their mind in the last days.

Anyway, this one poll was decreasing Hillary's lead every day until, the day before the election, showed Trump ahead. But then a crazy thing happened. An hour later it showed Hillary ahead, barely. They had actuallly changed their poll results for that day. If only they hadn't, they would have been the one that got it right.

Yawn, I'm sure there's a point in there somewhere, Biff. Try harder.

"President Trump’s incendiary responses to racial injustice protests and the coronavirus pandemic have left him politically isolated and profoundly weakened less than five months from the election, raising alarms among many Republicans about the party’s prospects in November.

A raft of fresh polling nationally and in battleground states shows Trump losing ground to presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, a precipitous slide that has triggered deep distress within the GOP about the incumbent’s judgment and instincts, as well as fears that voters could sweep the party out of power completely on Election Day.

Trump’s ability to shape cultural flash points also appears to have ebbed, as some Republican leaders and legions of large corporations are openly supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, despite risking retaliation from the White House." WP

Looks like the angry orange boil on the GOPs hindquarters is freaking out the beancounters at the RNC.

They should be worried. Remember Pete Wilson and what he did for the GOP in California?
