God's plan which of course relieves Z of any responsibility in the matter. How appropriate that this is but one more life sacrificed on the altar of religion or so Z would have us believe.

It really looks like Zimmerman's a piece of work.

I wonder about Martin?

Pete, I don't know that we'll ever be able to know what really happened here. Haven't used this expression in many years but Zimmeraman gives me the creeps.

Trayvon was not old enough to have any chance at a reputation at 17, really. Not to mention thanks to Zimbo he'll never get any chance at all. To graduate high school, to have a family or just a chance at a life. There's no negative talk at all about this young man's character from his schoolmates, teachers or anyone else. The one person that's intimated that Trayvon was a hothead is the one who shot him. I just don't get you on this thing Pete. I really don't.

George snuffed an innocent kid for no reason whatsoever.

Finally, someone who was there?

I just don't see any evenhandedness in this thing at all, as terrible as it was. Both sides are convicted.

Oh balls, Z came after the kid because he was black. Then ran around him and got between the kid and his house, so he got a punch in the nose. It was ll provocation pure and simple. The guy is a goddam vigilante. Put him on a scffold, then drop him.

2nd degree murder should be punishable by dropping him in the general population at Florida's notorius Rayford Penetentiary. He wouldn't last 15 minutes.

Dude should probably swing from a short rope but it would not surprise me
if he "walks" with the evidence we know about. Maybe more comes out
and justice will be served.

Martin had some minor issues as well, as I understand it. But, then, so did I as a young man.

And, we agree again, Beej. Seeing him with Hannity made the stench of evil overwhelming. I had to shut it off.

Precisely, the NRA and the rightwing machine has put far too much effort behind this to allow justice to be served.
