Vera Cruz: Burt Lancaster, Gary Cooper.

Excellent action movie.

Mexican rebels/nationalists trying to prevent the French from getting gold worth 3 million
dollars out of the country, have to contend with American mercenaries.

Lots of intrigue and double crosses.

A favorite of mine.

Catching up on some missed movies with garage sale DVD's. Watched "Fried Green Tomatoes." Not bad for a chick flick.

I recall enjoying it. For some reason that flick always makes me think of 'The Trip to Bountiful.' They aren't really the same, don't know why that link has happened....

Anyway, 'a trip to Bountiful' has become mental slang in my mind, for a misbegotten project that is sure to end up badly, and no one actually wants to do, except they think they have to because of someone else who doesn't want to do it either. It's a thing that could be prevented by some honesty, but too often isn't....

I watched "Stretch" on netflix the other night.

It was a bit raunchy in places but funny.

I gave it four stars.
