Cut a progressive tax with emphasis on the top tiers and replace the revenue with an increase in a regressive tax that disproportionately impacts the poorer residents of the state. So, since the rich save more in income tax than the poor must spend in sales tax, it's an overall tax cut. What don't you understand, Don?

The problem with his assertion is that the two tax measures were a couple of years apart. The current tax bill is unquestionably a tax increase - the governor is simply a liar.

We middle class folks are taking a hit too. It looks like the mortgage deduction is going to bite the dust.

We did not have a mortgage interest deduction in Canada. By the same token there was no capital gains tax on the sale of your main residence and only 50% of the gains on a vacation home.

Don't get me wrong I like and have taken the mortgage deduction tax.....
but you have to admit that people that rent but make a taxable income cannot itemize and receive tax reductions. And now there is less homeownership. If you are married and rent and have two incomes you are really screwed.

Red face Walker Has To Back Track On Tricky Dick Move

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/0...n_7727528.html

Luckily for America, Walker is inept when it comes to connecting with Joe Sixpack.
He's got Nixon's trickiness covered, but not his connection with workers.

Playing non-urban Wisconsin against Milwaukee won't work on the national stage.

A snapshot of Scott Walker paid for by Koch Bros.

Quote:
Walker failed to meet his signature campaign promise to create 250,000 jobs in his first term. He’s enacted nearly $2 billion in tax cuts while also shifting the state to the right by signing into law conservative priorities such as abortion-access restrictions, a requirement for photo identification to vote and a law letting people carry concealed weapons. Moreover, he’s made Wisconsin a right-to-work state and rejected federal money to pay for expanding Medicaid coverage.
This guy has as much chance as Perry did the last time. Besides he is a crook and has been somehow avoiding a real investigation into his affairs.
