My grand daughter is into the NEW RAP.
 I am taking a closer look. How is the NEW RAP different from the OLD RAP? It is less RAP...it is more TECHNO and DUB. The NEW RAP is wrapped with chant and mumbling...indistinct vocal. Travis Scott: ANTIDOTE Last edited by Dondilion; 03-10-2016 at 10:31 PM.

I have Lowell George and GD, ItD. In the dark is the worst technical recording I've heard in years, only outdone by a Django Reinhardt collection that sounds absolutely horrible. Too bad, I like the music on both but the recordings really suck.

New album by Gary Clark, Jr. - The Story of Sonny Boy Slim
It is something other than what I expected. My image of Gary Clark Jr. was based on this killer performance at the Crossroads Guitar Festival. This is a lot more soul/ R&B influenced. There are a couple of tracks where my first impression was "Prince light." I recognized a bit more blues/rock influence on the second listening. It's going to take a couple more listens for me to get a handle on it. Definitely cannot put him in a cubbyhole. Regards, D-Ray
