Topless parade staged in Manhattan gender equality push

I guess it's legal since 1992 for women to go topless in NYC. Why on erath is it still a big deal?

I have never understood the anti nudity stuff.

and especially when men can go topless but not women.

Am I missing something or is this just more of religions illness?

I've always thought it should be encouraged, not just allowed. Unfortunately, we have to deal with prudish religious tyrants who would decry it as "immoral".

It's a sad state of affairs that we should have to tolerate such nonsense from these toads in a supposedly "free" country.

After taking a look at the photo in the link, I'm kind of glad we do have laws, in most places, than prohibit nudity.

The green colored states are those where “top freedom” is in effect. The orange colored ones have ambiguous state laws on the matter. The red colored ones are the ones where the mere showing of the female breast in public is illegal according to state law.

"Top Freedom" law means women can take their shirts off wherever it is generally acceptable for men to take their shirts off. Whatever that means.

Some counties and municipalities in green states have restrictive laws for women. They are, in most cases illegal laws in those states, but which most state governments refuse to address.
