whatever
if it is not Brown, or even if it is an authentic video of another African-American committing a crime, why would you post this?

I did wonder if there had been anything like expert vetting of the vlid; looked and didn't find any.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter now whether Michael Brown was 'gentle giant,' or 'urban thug.' If it is shown to be a fake, that will be of a little interest as showing the mendacity of RW propagandists. If it comes out that everyone knew he was no 'gentle giant' then that speaks to the mendacity of those who cast him in that image. That's about all that this film can mean, really.

I do not think most criminals like getting filmed while they break the law. Black on black crime has nothing to do with whether Mike Brown was a victim of unecessary force or not. It is not connected.
When white people are killed I seldom hear anyone suggest their deaths are less important because of white on white crime.

I am truly outraged by the countless instances of injustice and needless abuses by law enforcement, but not Mike Browns highly questionable example as the poster child. Too many other genuine examples to squander outrage and energy here.

It is not really about Mike Brown if you think about it. African Americans are upset that they perceive their lives are not as valuable in the eyes of law enforcement as white lives are. That conversation is not going away anytime soon.

You are saying, then, I am outraged, but I don't like the Michael Brown 'example.'
Therefore, what?
Generally, a 'but' in an argument means everything said in front of it doesn't count.

"But" means I except Mike Brown as a good example of abuse of authority worthy of the attention it's garnered over a long history of obvious examples that should be addressed. Even the "surrender" gesture is suspect as fact here.
