The best President money can buy.

I'm glad I don't live in a critical state. I can't stand to look at that prick Jeb's face.

Over the weekend, Right To Rise announced it would spend at least $10 million on TV ads in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. The investment promises to be merely the opening salvo of a sustained effort for a group with the firepower to give Bush a sizable financial edge over every other Republican not named Donald Trump.

Bush’s coffers aren’t going to dry up any time soon. The $103 million his super PAC raised in the first half of this year is nearly three times the total that its nearest competitor -

Cool. The fight between him and Trump should be highly entertaining.

Poor Reince Priebus is hiding under his desk with a half gallon of gin.

What is funny is that

1. Trump has enough personal wealth to match Jeb's spending if he wanted to.

2. He doesn't need to because he has made himself into such a media star that he will get more media exposure free than Jeb can buy.

This just means that Jeb will have to spend tons of his patrons' money just to fight off the Trump surge. That, and the ensuing slime, bodes well for Dems, if Hillary's own problems don't sink her.

Hill's biggest problem is not Emails, it is image.

Jeb has no shot at Trump unless Trump continues to release policy papers.

In politics, when a scandal reinforces an existing impression, it gets greater mileage. If Hillary had otherwise been viewed as trustworthy and honest and had fessed up to her fuck-up with the email, she'd probably be OK (presuming she's not found guilty of criminal behavior).

In other words, the more Trump lays his policies out there, the more the GOP base will desert him. I'll agree to that. His views on abortion, Obamacare, the Iran deal, etc. are all at odds with the GOP and its base.

Even an egomaniac like Trump would need to learn what it takes to be president. Trump has not and this tells me that he was not all that serious to begin with or did not expect to get anywhere with his candidacy. Now he has some momentum going and needs to keep it up. Putting on a big show in my opinion for self promotion and ego. Land in a private chopper with his name in a state fair? Not exactly a common man image. I for one do not take his candidacy very seriously but am grateful to him for pulling the key GOP candidate to his position on immigration.

How is this for a hypothetical ad (from Wapo) running on national media before the general election?

“My name is Lisa Hernandez. I was born in California, grew up there. I was valedictorian of my high school class, graduated from Yale, and now I’m in medical school; I’m going to be a pediatrician. But now Scott Walker and the Republicans say that because my mom is undocumented, that I’m not a real American and I shouldn’t be a citizen. I’m living the American Dream, but they want to take it away from me and people like me. Well I’ve got a message for you, Governor Walker. I’m every bit as American as your children. This country isn’t about who your parents were, it’s about everybody having a chance to work hard, achieve, and contribute to our future. It seems like some people forgot that.”

This is so blindingly obvious that even the klowns have to realize this. That means none of those who have suggesting ending birthright citizenship actually believe it can be done and that means they think that, by supporting the repeal of the 14th Amendment, they will increase their appeal among the idiot nativist Republican base.

Think they're right? I do.
