Goodfellas: 25 years and more real.

It is 25 years since the release of Goodfellas.

After "The Godfather" and the romanticizing of gangsters, "Goodfellas show them to be what they really are:violent murderous guys who kill at the drop of a hat, who shoot people in the leg just to make them dance for fun."

Better than "The Godfather"?

I liked it better than The Godfather. Joe Pesci was awesome.

For once I agree with you.

On both counts.

Don't look for it to happen again anytime soon.

He took that to the next level in "Casino". It was almost too much.

That scene with De Niro in the desert was great.

He was awesome in My Cousin Vinny, as was Marisa Tomei.

By the way, Marisa Tomei is now 50 years old and still knock dead gorgeous.

I guess I'll have to change my mind.

I like both of the above but think Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs right up there with them.

It's a good one, but not for the faint of heart (as is true with all Tarantino movies).
