Another nut kills several (15?) in Colorado. Damn!

Amazingly, things like this (and Virginia Tech and Giffords) do little or nothing to change the gun debate.

I've already seen in the discussion forum of the on-line version of my local paper an NRA-member rant on how the left is going to use this as yet another excuse for 'taking away our guns.' My response and I quote: Give me a fuckin' break. Moderator deleted it unfortunately because I was apparently too direct.

I'm talking specifically these shooting sprees, not gangbangers offing each other.

It would be nice to see some studies comparing apples to apples.

Looks like the number killed is 12, not 15. Just goes to show that first reports are unreliable. May God bless the families and friends of those involved.

It seems like the per capita firearms-related homicide rate is 10-20X higher in the USA compared to northern Europe.
