Iran Drones Israel...

Iran fires off 200 - 300 missiles and drones at Israel from Iranian soil. Israeli Defense Forces shot down most of them while the US helped. Looks to be an epic fail at this point on Iran's part.

I'm all for sending a couple hundred Tomahawks their way.

Don't think it's a fail. It's Iran threading the needle of not looking helpless after Israeli attack on embassy, but not hurting Israel a lot and getting a real war. So they send a lot of ordinance, but give warning and attack in a way where few get through. And no targeting of civilian areas.

U.K jet fighters, and Jordanian jet fighters flew along side the USAF as they shot them down.

Kinda looked like the drones came in over the Golan Heights, to my untrained eye.

Hardly. I believe I read that 7 incoming weapons made it to Israel out of the 330 fired off and that there was one significant injury among the Israeli population (one injury for 330 inbound weapons is remarkably effective). I think fighter aircraft were used for the drones because they were easy picking for jets (and ballistic missiles are not) and the drones could be shot down before they reached Israeli airspace, thereby reducing the risk from flying junk raining down.

My son lived in Tel Aviv for 6 years on 2 different assignments with the State Dept. A few years back when shitloads of missiles were flying out of Gaza, people were initially somewhat frightened and immediately went inside when when alarms went off. After the efficiency of the Iron Dome was demonstrated, people instead went outside to watch the fireworks. He used to FaceTime us from his balcony in downtown Tel Aviv during rocket attacks and we weren't the least bit concerned.

Nothing is 100% effective. This Iron Dome seems to be working, expensive and with issues.
Still better the not having!

Hope the U.S.A. had better be leaning and implementing ........

The USA and Israel have worked together on Israel's air defense system from the very start. Israel is, in terms of air defenses, the best protected piece of real estate on the planet.
