Breakin' up? The GOP and the Tea Party.
With the recent snubbing of Sarah Palin and Ron Paul, would you say there is trouble in paradise for the GOP and Tea Party relationship?

I don't think so. IMO most Tea Partiers can't tell the difference between the modern GOP and Ron Paul.
Sarah Palin was never a consideration for the thinkers in the electorate. She was Karl Rove's advertising gimmick; tits and ass to attract young voters.

Right, because they both "Love America" more than the evil Overlord Obama and his un-American party does.
In regards to Sarah; And perverted old farts like my brother, who are easily swayed by images of a gun-toting ditz, pretending to hunt moose.

Two individuals who are lighting-rods for passion, distraction and criticism were smart "deletions" from the agenda.

Right, the party only succedes when it is free from internal dissent. I assume that if they manage to foist their "agenda" on the rest of the country, dissent against the party platform will be treated in the same manor? They will shun, silence, ostracize and/or blacklist anyone who opposes them?
I can see that happening. And we all know what that's called.
Welcome to 21st century America. Be prepared to be gagged. And bring a set of kneepads, if you want to survive.

As a clear party insider, what is the agenda?

Though the rank and file Tea Partier may be blissfully unaware of it, their "party" is a contrivance of the GOP (Haley Barbour, among others). It was just the latest GOP strategy to maintain support in their Bubba faction, now that overt racism has become passé. They have nowhere to go and will remain a force as long as the GOP sees value in maintaining them.

One can only hope but I fear the TP is going to run the GOP for the foreseeable future.
What a shame because Bi-Partisan agreement is need now!

The GOP is charging a path of totalitarianism. The leaders honestly believe they are the Chosen Ones and can do central planning right.
From an academic perspective it is pretty interesting to watch how such an organization comes together and how much patience its leaders exercise. Rove has been at it since college.
The part that will suck is the civil war if they get their way.
Perhaps the GOP fans might want to look into why their compatriots of GoldmanSachs/Ayn Rand Institute and Hank Paulson just happened to bump into each other at an airport. In Moscow.
