Indeed! After 'Hurricane' I seem to have lost interest in old Bobby Dylan.

Personal preference.

I am not into bad singing and worse harmonica playing so Dylan is hard to take for me.

I am into good signing and superior musicianship, song writing and lyrics...so I enjoy Rush.

I've always looked at it like you'll never have to worry about me getting your Dylan ticket and I'll not have to worry about losing my spot at a Rush show to you....win/win for both of us

Just don't get in my way for tickets to see Jethro Tull.

Actually as far as superior voices go, I'd like to see the Wailin' Jennys.

P.S. I forgot my smiley in the original post. I realize that there are a lot of Rush fans that appreciate the band's musicianship. Its just that certain vocals strike a raw chord with me. Pun intended. Come to think if it, another terrific musician whose vocals I can't take is Otis Rush. Helluva blues guitarist, but his vocals grate on me.

And then there's Leo Kottke, who once described his own voice as "geese farting on a muggy day."

Regards,

D-Ray

I am a big Tull fan but prolly would not be in your way as only a lawyer would have the kinda money a ticket would most likely cost

I have seen Bob three times and would go to the dentist before seeing a bunch of technically fine players (Canuck at that) performing elevator music!

I actually have the Rush CD with the Tom Sawyer song, which I only like to listen to because it reminds me of my freshmen year at college back in 1981. I can listen to them like one perhaps listens to the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas album...sparingly.

I really hated Rush in 1981 lol....I was a Clash/Costello/Sex Pistols/The Jam sort of guy

I think you called them "poppers" in your day, bob.

Butyl Nitrate is the other name
