Most of my life I didn't understand just how great Garcia was. He did blue grass, country, jazz and acid rock. I am going to try and buy all the Dick's Picks I can afford. The guy singing on this NRPS record sounds a lot like Garcia but it is not him.

Garcia could play. I gained an appreciation for him at Maryland. A fellow Allegany Haller was a Deadhead and had a ton of bootleg concert tapes. He always had a dube burning or was rolling another.
Poco is another fine California country rock band.
