Apple

Apple deliberately deleted rivals' music from iPods for YEARS.

plus they made it very difficult to sync with rivals līke microsoft, but that is from me not the story. I won't use anything Apple as a result.

People don't care, they want the best toy and don't care that they are dumb sheep.

Btw, i got my pono the day before thanksgiving.

Since everything Apple sells is made in China we won't touch it with a stick.

Actually they gave me a free U2 album, which I really like by the way. And for the most part their computers tend to last a very long time. No problem here.

This stuff turned me off to Apple products and a few other companies.

Locking down their OS has its benefits to them and their users (profits, reliability and security). That said, they take it too far sometime. I really like my iPhone and don't have a single paid app, nor any music purchased from iTunes.

a lot of folks were not too happy about thät

the folks that did not want it had to download a special app to get rid of it.

most just lived with it because it was such hassle

Foisting off apps that you do not want is rampant today. You get a message that a new version of your software is ready and if you do not watch carefully you wind up with some software that you don't want and then have to remove it.

A billion-dollar lawsuit against Apple fell into doubt after the electronics giant on Friday claimed the case is missing a vital piece: plaintiffs who can actually sue the company....

But in an unexpected twist, Apple presented evidence late Thursday that the two plaintiffs — Marianna Rosen and Melanie Wilson — didn’t actually buy iPods covered by the suit, sending the attorneys for the plaintiffs scrambling to salvage the case.

I also have two iPods....the nano things. Greatest invention since toilet paper. But after going though LP's, 8-tracks, cassettes, then CD's for portable music, yea they would be.

I have one I keep in the Mustang and one for the house in my studio.

IMO though the fidelity will never replace lP's. Those are making a come back but I'll be damned if I'm going to get a new turntable and start replacing records...again.....
