The Neocon Navy - A Tale of Leadership

A story of seamanship and teamwork in the neocon Navy. I almost welled up with pride.

Story told by Bill Marriott, of Marriott hotel fame:

Quote:
"Both Mitt and I have summer places up in New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee. And a few summers ago I was taking my grandchildren and children to town in the boat for ice cream. And we got into the docks and they were all full and I looked around, there was no place to park, so we stopped at the end of a dock. They all jumped off and ran up the dock. And I realized there was nobody in the boat to help me dock the boat, handle the ropes, do anything -- they just left me out there at sea. So I finally found a place to park after about 20 minutes, and I pulled in, I said, 'Who's going to grab the rope?,' and I looked up and there was Mitt Romney. So he pulled me in, he tied up the boat for me. He rescued me just as he's going to rescue this great country."
Gawd. Adrift on Lake Winnipesaukee offshore of the ice cream parlor. I can't imagine the horror.

I used to have a lot of respect for Bill, can't say I still have. Onliest thing Mitt will do with a rope is hang the middle class.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. If you can't Maneuver a boat into a slot and tie it up by yourself you should not be at the helm. One rich Mormon helping another rich Mormon out of a sticky ice cream situation. That's proof positive to me he can save this country.

Were was Romney when my dad and I were stranded on a small island in the Keys for two days when the motor went south on the boat we rented. We had to stand up to our necks in the water to avoid the huge mosquito's at night. The fact that Romney was not there to save us is proof positive to me that he cannot save this country.

I actually laughed out loud, very loud.

That was some good stuff right there. If Willard had not been there he'd surely have perished.......

The things these people see as adversity is amazing.

See; Ann Romney telling the RNC crowd that Mitt had to sell of stock to make ends meet, when he was in college..........

Dear God, the humanity!

Regards,
Dave

There is a personal irony in the story for me. During the 2010 mid term elections I was on another board. The Tea Party was new and a member from Florida was constantly gnawing on my pant cuffs.

Anyhow I was in a thread chatting about boating. I mentioned how I loved being at sea on the Great Lakes. The Tea Bagger quickly tried to get his jab in by saying that the Great Lakes are not a sea.

I said whatever. The Edmund Fitzgerald is at the bottom so that makes it sea enough for me.
