Brad Staats arrested

Never heard of this guy until now but wow, what a piece of work. He was a Republican congressional candidate in the last election. His district would have included Nashville. This was probably flacaltenn's boy.

His smugness in his mug shot just screams Ayn Rand asshole.

We are not privy to the circumstances and he has not yet been found guilty. Men can, and do, get arrested for domestic abuse unfairly. Further, I'm certain that democratic men also get arrested at rates similar to GOP men.

Since you're certain, I'm sure you can point to the statistics which provided you with that certainty.

I'm not certain but I think it's fairly likely that the authoritarian personality which characterizes conservatives, the overt sexism and male domination so vividly displayed by Republicans during the last several years and even the higher rates of divorce in red states are indications that you may well be wrong.

Point taken. It seems likely that there is very little difference between the characteristics of democratic men and GOP men wrt to propbable abuse tendencies. Now, where is all this overt sexism and male domination displayed by republicans. Your argument would be more appropriate directed at perhaps a narrower target than the entire GOP, but then, I susepct there are some misogyinists in any large cross section of people.
