Exactly. It drives me crazy when people talk about this subject because it's become nothing but political B.S. The right claims that we are the only ones trying...that is not true. The Chinese know what the problem is and have been fighting desertification with a vengeance and nobody knows or cares.
Biomass storing and transpiring water, shading the ground to protect top soil, and storing carbon is the simple & only solution.
Too bad it's going to be a tremendous amount of hard work, even with the world on board.
