Oh man, that is good news indeed. I live in the 48th district. We've been trying to fire the 'Surf Nazi' congressman for decades. Seeing that piece of shit go to jail would be the cherry on a very large banana split.

Democrats release their memo to counter Nunes' failed hatchet job.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/power...ff7_story.html

There's been so much water under the bridge that the memos are now yesterday's news. Lots of indictments have rendered them meaningless, other than to further discredit that punk Nunes. Upon release of the memo, the lying little weasel Nunes "accused Democrats of colluding with the government in a “cover up” of information as he announced the memo had been posted online. “We actually wanted this out,” Nunes told an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference. “It’s clear evidence that the Democrats are not only covering this up, but they’re also colluding with parts of the government to cover this up.”

Michael Wolff predicts Trump, Kushner would 'throw each other under the bus'

http://thehill.com/homenews/media/37...der-the-bus-in

Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff said he believes Jared Kushner — President Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor — will be indicted in special counsel Robert Mueller's probe, and would likely turn on Trump.

The author of the best-selling book that details the inner workings of the Trump White House said at an event in London that the Russian investigation could trigger the biggest crisis the administration will face, all before the midterm elections.

Wolff said that “that there is a pretty good possibility at this point that Jared will be indicted,” according to a report by the Huffington Post.

“So the more direct question is will Trump throw his son-in-law under the bus, and then the corollary to that is, will his son-in-law throw his father-in-law under the bus?” Wolff said. “And I think the answer to both of those questions is ‘yes’.”

Sorry, no. A pardon will put Jared in bigger trouble in the future. He has to provide evidence upon direct questioning since the 5A is no longer available in matters concerning Russia or even his own finances.

He has to cut a deal with Mueller to save his skin or else the dynamic duo of FIL & SIL will take each other down. Pence will pardon the Dotard for sure but Jared will be hung out to dry after his pardon.

"He has to provide evidence." Or else what? Face contempt of court, or obstruction of justice raps? Pardons don't work for those too?

What pardons don't work for is charges in state court. That's a weak spot.

The thing lies with the voters, ultimately. No matter what evidence comes out against Trump, it won't matter, during his term, unless the voters elect a Congress that will impeach him.

My understanding (from reading) was that after he is pardoned (by which he is admitting to the crimes he has been charged with), he cannot plead the 5th upon future questioning, since self incrimination is no longer in play.

How this actually will pay out, I have no clue.

hMueller Is Gaining Steam. Should Trump Worry?

Quote:
With each passing day, Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, seems to add another brick to the case he is building — one more indictment, one more interview, one more guilty plea. Mr. Trump and his advisers insist they are not worried because so far none of the charges implicate the president. Yet no one outside Mr. Mueller’s office knows for sure where he is heading and the flurry of recent action seems to be inexorably leading to a larger target.
Quote:
“When you put that all together, the White House should be extremely worried,” said Benjamin Wittes, editor in chief of Lawfare, a blog that analyzes legal issues, and a friend of James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director who was leading the Russia investigation until being fired by Mr. Trump last year. “You have to ask the question about whether there is a certain measure of self-delusion going on here.”
This is not a witch hunt anymore, it's MAGA.

I expect the mid-terms to become a referendum on whether Trump should be impeached or not, after Mueller reports, and Trump fires who he fires and pardons who he pardons.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...-intelligence/

While the memo is heavily redacted, it does state that the Justice Department provided additional information in FISA renewals obtained through multiple independent sources that corroborated Steele’s reporting. What is intriguing here is that nearly the entire section supporting that conclusion is blacked out. What parts were confirmed? How were they confirmed? We still don’t know, but the prospect of ample corroboration of the dossier’s allegations (salacious or not) should be extremely troubling to the Trump team.

The memo also states that “Russian agents previewed their hack and dissemination of stolen emails.” Was this a heads-up to Roger Stone? If they were previewing the email release to anyone associated with the Trump campaign, that surely constitutes collusion by anyone’s definition.
