ISIS declares State of Emergency

Beginning of the end?
Good news and especially so since this is being accomplished with minimal US boots on the ground.
Quote:
"We have seen this declaration of emergency in Raqqa, whatever that means," Col. Steve Warren, the spokesman for the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition, told reporters Friday. "We know this enemy feels threatened, as they should."
Quite a victory for Obama if this victory over ISIS comes to fruition.

Multiple front wars are hard to win: "Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) recaptured the city of Hit in Anbar Province, western Iraq from ISIS on April 14 as part of ongoing operations to secure the Euphrates River Valley." However ISIS has also had success: "Despite these losses, ISIS seized additional territory in the Yarmouk Camp District from Syrian al Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al Nusra on April 18, and reclaimed terrain along the Syrian-Turkish border on April 14." (http://www.understandingwar.org/map/...-april-22-2016)

Given the overall picture painted by the sourced webpage and CNN article, things appear to be going not so good for ISIS.

At a terrible cost however. Assad remains the potentate of a wreckage of a failed state. Goody for him.
