With a strong rebuke to president Poroshenko, Minister Abromavicius, the western supported anti corruption point man, resigned.

Did he expect the local boys to surrender?

The locals are entrenched and they are not going to hand over the goods to new raiders without serious struggle. The fact that they are well armed and organized is all the more ominous.
