Bye America - Hello China!

The Germans forget about America and say Hello to China. Merkel hosted Li for two days in Berlin and there have been very fruitful negotiations in a friendly atmosphere.

What the fuck is USA??? China is already a more important trading partner for Germany than America. Will the American morons who voted for Trump ever wake up? I don't think so. And if so, one day, the political, economical and cultural damage (oops, I think it is not very appropriate to use the word "cultural" in the context of the USA, well, okay..) will be absolutely immense and it will take a long time for this country to recover from all these devastations.

However - Germany will be the winner again (we always will remember the agony of 1945). We even invest now one billion Euros in India, the political leader of India was also in Berlin this week.

Good Night America, and enjoy your sweet dreams - because waking up will be horriffic.

While our two political parties put party and big money over the best interests of the country, feverishly deceiving and dividing the nation, the United States has become an irrelevant joke, it's people ignorant little minions jumping and scurrying on command each time the political puppet masters tug the strings.

The most bitter thing for me is that the majority of American citizens did not vote for Trump and have to bear now this monumental desaster.

In many respects, we are in '1984.' Perpetual war, and a government that tries to control everything by controlling reality, that is, by lying.

Still have not said anything about Greece.

Germany sold Greece a lot of tanks.

Time to give the Greeks some slack.

I get mixed messages from forum members about China. Your post seems to suggest that China will be a great and valued trading partner. On the other hand, there are those here who believe that China's economic rise was fueled by dumping cheaply produced goods on the US market which made domestic manufacturing less competitive and gave rise to Walmart and the like. Many folks actually eschew Chinese and other imported goods as much as possible as a result, and try (sometimes with difficulty depending on the goods they are looking for) to "buy American".

Merkel can flirt with China all she wants. But lest she forget Putin and company are just across the border, and China won't likely be much help with any issues that might arise there.

Realpolitik sez that the Chinese are in it for the Chinese and the Russians for the Russians, and I'd expect she knows that well. Dealing with them realistically with that in mind to make mutually beneficial agreements should work, and everyone gets something they want.

And China is just across Russia's border. It's going to be the three-way game as in '1984.'

Nah, I suspect it's you guys that don't get it.

If Jinping or Putin read 1984, they probably thought Big Brother was the protagonist. In any event, China and Russia have goals that Orwell didn't forsee.
