Maybe "Stepford Wives" was too soft...Maybe the underground Dystopian hell in "A Boy & His Dog" is more like it...

For some reason my high school adviser suggested that I apply for admission to Lynchburg College so, along with applying to Harvard and Georgetown and a couple of in-state colleges, I did. It was the only one I didn't get accepted to. I've always believed that it was because I'm Catholic. Lynchburg is a very good college but, since Harvard and Georgetown are better, I can't really think of a reason for their rejection other than their affiliation with the Disciples of Christ.

Aren't we fortunate that we don't get everything we ask for. Just think, if you had gone to Lynchburg you could be tag-teaming with djv8ga and writewing.

Regards,

D-Ray

Yeah, but the scenery around Lynchburg is GORGEOUS...I took a trip from Richmond to I-81 on US 60 just above there once in Fall '77....Aww, man ! Was going about 45-50, 2-lane blacktop, both windows down, temp 65-70, "Chrome-blue" sky...If you could only bottle that & take a swig when its in Jan-Feb & you're freezin' yr Tucchis off, or in July-Aug, when its 85-95, & 90% humidity...
