The FFP2 mask will be mandatory from next Monday on in Germany. From the medical point of view, it is a good decision.

But how about the millions of people who can not afford purchasing such a mask regularly since it is a one-way product (it only can be used once, or rather one day)?

The German Authorities are peeing their pants because of the new mutation. (I do not know if the variation is already a topic in the United States). However, President Biden will recommend to the Americans to wear a mask in the first 100 days of his office.

We will see where this virus is going to swirl in the forthcoming months.

Got KN95's on order here, will have by Fri. Less that $.50 each, shouldn't break the bank for most folks. And if you let them sit a couple of days between uses they should be OK to reuse a few times, unless/until they are grossly soiled. Microbes doen't survive long just sitting around in dry conditions. Just let them dry out and rest a while.

The KN95's are much cheaper than the FFP2, but they are not so safe. However, two days ago I purchased 7 FFP2 and signed them on the inside with Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat. I have to get used to the rhythm now changing the mask daily.

This system will work hopefully many weeks until the masks will be worn.
