Aquinas wrote his theological works 1,000 years after the Bible was written.

Everything he said about Hell was an extrapolation from two verses in the New Testament; 1 Peter 4:6, and Ephesians 4:9.

IMHO, there is no purgatory and no limbo. If someone is washed clean by the Holy Spirit, they're a saint, no nomination, no voting involved.
