Tentative plans for Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to make his first visit to the White House to meet with President Trump were scuttled this week after a testy call between the two leaders ended in an impasse over Trump’s promised border wall, according to U.S. and Mexican officials.

Peña Nieto was eyeing an official trip to Washington this month or in early March, but both countries agreed to call off the plan after Trump would not agree to publicly affirm Mexico’s position that it would not fund construction of a border wall that the Mexican people widely consider offensive.

Trump Re-Election Campaign Emails Photo of Florida Shooting Survivor, Asks for Money

http://ktla.com/2018/02/25/trump-re-...for-donations/

Is there nothing Trumpies won’t do for their Dear Leader? This is scraping the bottom of the barrel, surely a new low in crassness. Even someone with his nose deeply embedded up Donny’s ass, like Whell, must know that this is just wrong! Unbelievable.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is reportedly already paying $37,000 a month for President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign’s office space in Trump Tower.

The party has been paying the rent, as well as thousands more in salary to Vice President Pence’s nephew, John Pence, who is the deputy executive director of the campaign, since September, totaling more than $290,000, according to CNBC.

The payments to John Pence are allegedly about $12,000 per month, plus an additional $9,000 paid for “strategy consulting."

The RNC began covering these expenses just days after coming under fire for paying Trump’s personal legal fees in relation to the Russia investigation.

PANAMA CITY — Last Thursday afternoon, the majority owner of the Trump International Hotel here in Panama arrived unexpectedly in the building’s swank Sky Lobby, with an entourage.

He wanted to fire the Trump Organization, which has managed the hotel since it opened in 2011.

But the Trump Organization has refused to leave.

Since that first confrontation, police have been called multiple times to referee disputes between owner Orestes Fintiklis — who blames Trump’s poor management and damaged brand for the hotel’s declining revenue — and the Trump Organization, which says it still has a valid contract to manage the place.

Offices have been barricaded. Several yelling matches have broken out. The power was briefly turned off, in a dispute over the building’s electronic equipment. At one point, Fintiklis — denied a chance to fire the hotel staff, or even check into a room — played a tune on the hotel’s lobby piano as an apparent show of defiance.

On Monday, Panama’s federal prosecutors said they had opened an investigation into the Trump Organization, after Fintiklis complained that he had been unlawfully blocked from his own property.

With that, this bizarre standoff had turned a theoretical concern about the Trump administration — that, someday, the president’s private business might be investigated by a foreign government — into a reality.

And the grift goes on.

'Trump vs. Mueller is a battle for America’s soul' by Max Boot

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...=.29f37226edb8

Well worth a read. Max is hardly a 'hair on fire' lefty.

"Trump is Mueller’s opposite in every meaningful respect save that he was also born to privilege. He has much in common with the land promoters who bamboozled English immigrants into coming to the New World in the 17th century with fanciful tales of riches — what Trump would describe as “truthful hyperbole.” He is the kind of charming con man who peddled patent medicines in the 19th century and then, in the 20th century, penny stocks and time-shares. These scofflaws and scammers were the inspiration for the phony duke and dauphin in “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” Jay Gatsby and the Wizard of Oz."

and...

"Trump combines the hedonism of the 1970s with the bigotry and sexism of the 1950s: the worst of both worlds. His consciousness was not raised in the 1960s, but his libido was. He did not take part in the civil rights or antiwar movements and won five draft deferments — including one for “bone spurs” — so that he could devote his life to the pursuit of women and wealth. He later said that fear of catching a sexually transmitted disease was “my personal Vietnam.”" Max Boot at The Washington Post

Apparently Trump also loses when it comes to the Nobel Peace Prize.

Most Americans think President Trump is a racist, according to a new poll by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

More than half of adults think his policies have worsened the lives of Muslims and Hispanics, while almost half believe the president has worsened the lives of African Americans. Of the 57 percent of adults who say the nation’s leader is a racist, 8 in 10 are black, three-quarters are Hispanic and almost half are white.

About 85 percent of Democrats say Trump is a racist, while 21 percent of Republicans say the same, according to the poll, which surveyed 1,337 adults from Feb. 15 to 19.
