what if?

I am using el84 tubes in place of my 7189's (very temporary!). What is the worst that can happen? Plate voltage is 375 and I know the el84's are rated for 300 max I think? Will they last a week? Will I hurt my amp?

Depends on a few things.

Some EL84's can handle that, the Sovtek EL84M is one I believe, while
others can't, then not only the voltage but the current as well will be a
factor in wether the tube will take it or not.

Worse case scenario is the tube blows up an takes an output tranny in
the process along with it, hopefully just the fuse blows if the tube goes.
