Interesting to note that despite the meme Obama's 2012 executive order is not the impetus behind the current migration but rather this well-meaning and broadly bi-partisan bill signed by George Bush in 2009. I wonder if Boehner voted for it. Anyway Obama probably will not get any cooperation from Congress on any legislative fix to the current crisis.

It seems the smugglers, cartels, and families fleeing bad countries know how this law works.
