Benghazi Hearing Today

So much for protestations to the contrary, Gowdy's 'Dog & Pony Show' today isn't covering itself in nonpartisan glory.
The ranking Democrat, Elijah Cummings, tried to get Sid Blumenthal's testimony released and the Repubs voted it down.

So far, Hillary's making the Republicans look like clueless chumps.

True dat. Not that they need her help.
Here's how it's being written up out here on the left coast - http://www.latimes.com/nation/politi...022-story.html

Because that's what they are. They are also angry children, locked in an relentless rant over being jilted at the last two presidential elections.

Cummings has also totally outclassed Gowdy. It'll be interesting to see Fox and talk radio's reaction to the abject failure of the committee.

If Trey had the sense god gave to a squirrel, he'd wrap this amateur hour fishing expedition up early and lick his wounds in private.

I'm waiting for Rep. Cummings to have a McCarthy hearing moment ala, "At long last, have you no decency?"

No, they have no decency.

Poor Trey is sweating like a schoolboy.

If this is all they've got on Clinton. her next address will be 1600 Pennsylvania.

All but one of them have graduate degrees, for whatever that's worth. The piece I read recently praising the Ivy League educations of the Freedom Caucus is not borne out however. Only one fits that description.

The Republicans on the Committee, and their educational attainments:

Trey Gowdy, Chairman (SC-04)

He earned a B.A. in history from Baylor University in 1986. He was a member of Kappa Omega Tau, a service/social Fraternity while at Baylor University. He earned a J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1989. In law school, he was a member of the scholastic honor society "Wig and Robe."

Susan Brooks (IN-05)

She earned a B.A. from Miami University, where she was a part of the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi, and a J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Jim Jordan (OH-04)

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1986, obtaining his bachelor's degree in economics. He later earned a master's degree in education from the Ohio State University in Columbus, and in 2001 obtained his law degree from Capital University, also in Columbus.

Mike Pompeo (KS-04)

Pompeo attended the U.S. Military Academy where he majored in Mechanical Engineering, graduating first in his class in 1986 and subsequently serving in the Regular Army as an Armor Branch cavalry officer from 1986 to 1991.[3] He subsequently graduated from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.

Martha Roby (AL-02)

...attended New York University, where she received a bachelor of music degree. She then entered the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, receiving her J.D. in 2001.

Peter Roskam (IL-06)

Roskam received his B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Lynn Westmoreland (GA-03)

He has no degree beyond a high school diploma. He attended Georgia State University, but dropped out to work in a family construction business in which he later became an executive.
