Jim Webb Taking Steps Toward An Independent Run For President
Well, sure! That way you don't have to risk having your ass handed to you in the primaries!
https://www.washingtonpost.com/local...79a_story.html
Obviously, he's looking at peeling the Hillary Haters away from the Democrats and, should Trump or Cruz be the Republican nominee, a big chunk of Republicans too. The fucked up thing is that it could work and we could end up with a "none of the above" president.
Never did like that guy!

The Dude is no threat to the Democrats.
And Republicans won't vote for him either.
If he wants to embarrass himself by running BFD.
What Hillary needs to be worried about is the Bern going Indie.
There's a whole lot of us on his side that are plenty pissed at the way Wassermann-Schultz is in the tank for Hillary.
And a lot of his supporters are urging him to do just that if he gets screwed out of the nomination.

And Jeb! is going to grind the rest of the Klowns into the dust.
So, when Jeb! gets the Republican nomination and Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, we'll have Trump, Webb and Bernie all running as independent candidates.

You can't count Jeb out yet.
His brother funneled trillions, yes I said trillions, of dollars away from the poor and middle classes and into the coffers of the 1% while he was President and now they owe the Bushes. These are very powerful people and they have mega-money.
When you are a billionaire you can buy pretty much anything.
I wouldn't be surprised if a whole lot of delegates to the Republican convention get offers they can't refuse and Bush is handed the nomination in spite of what the rank and file want.
The Bushes are more powerful than any Mafia family ever dreamed of being.

Jeb Bush is fast becoming an afterthought in the GOP race – George Pataki with money. It’s possible he can still win the nomination, because almost anything seems possible in The Election Cycle of Trump, 2016. But it’s highly unlikely. It would require the Hail Mary pass of the century – a 100-yard strike that splits the uprights, bounces off three defenders, and sticks in a receiver’s face mask for the winning score.

I hope you're right. I hate the entire Bush family.

Exactly, just like when Bush lost the popular vote and the supreme court handed him the presidency by a 5-4 vote.
