It is definitely an inspiring building.

I found it held it's place in space and time and refused seduction from the 21st century.

I recorded it for later viewing. Hagia Sophia is indeed an awesome building, one of many in Istanbul. Within a stone's throw of Hagia Sophia, there is also the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. The exhibition of all the Sultans' jewels, etc. in the Topkapi Palace is absolutely phenomenal, far more mind-blowing even than the crown jewels in the Tower of London.

You'll dig the 1:26 scale model torture tested on a big shaker table by a buncha egg headed engineers. No offense to any engineers hereabouts.

I sure hope not. That was pretty cool how they were locating plastered over mosaics from the Byzantine era.
