You ever have to lay people off D-Ray? It's got nothing to do with greed. In fact, I've seen more of the opposite. Where management gets paid last.. But continue with the stereotypes.
1. Do you doubt that executives have laid off people to make the bottom line look good, at least temporarily, in order to enhance their bonus.

2. Putting a nicer spin on it, do you doubt that seven figure bonuses have been paid by companies during the same period in which significant numbers of workers were laid off.

3. Would you accept a seven figure bonus under those circumstances.

I know that you think some (most?) executives are worth multimillion dollar bonuses. I don't

P.S. I got your stereotype right here.

Regards,

D-Ray

Well, that's done out of love and with great regret, after "fighting to help them keep their jobs" by first stripping away every benefit they could. (And receiving a fat bonus at each step.) It's all part of the "If you don't give it up, your job will go to a Chinaman.", thing. Completely ignoring the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE for an American worker to be cheaper than a Chinaman, or most other workers in third world shit holes, and that the corporate plan from the start was to offshore anyways.......Using the money saved from benefit cuts to fund the move.

However,

We just continue to sheepishly do as we're told and thank "God" that the company hasn't decided to abuse our rectums yet.......and "pray" that "the good Lord" will continue to provide.

But, unfortunately NONE of that seems to be working at all.

I don't think he cares.

Very good Fast Eddie.. Actually an improvement over the writers at the Daily Show lately.

But NOBODY gets out of this crap-storm without pain.. Not the top or the bottom.

I'm figuring we're gonna have less bread and less circuses..

There'll be plenty of bread. It's just that in the future it could cost alot more. Having enough money to buy it with could be a problem.

And this below, damn.. it's crazy.

Wow, Chas, you doing okay? Not what I'd expect from you. Agree or not (and it's written all in fun.) I thought you'd appreciate it.

First, thanks. And, yeah, it's ugly out there. I'm feeling pretty cocky because I got half my 401k out of the market and into bonds last week. Had no idea the Tea Party downgrade was coming, but sure worked out okay. Now I just don't know if I should move the other half out, or put the first half back in. Guess I'll just do the Hokey Po-key and turn myself around.

Brother, I am glad. I think the 401k is one of the best things government ever did for people. Love it. But watching the last few years, I'm also really glad we didn't dump all the Social Security money in the market (a Bush plan I was in favor of at the time) and I'm also glad that there's a guaranteed, at least for now, safety net that will give me some income in my old age even if the Wall Street clowns blow all I've managed to save.

Your beautiful Eddie!

Bbbbbbut, you don't know it's only government officials that rip people off? You probably didn't get the memo.

My apologies Ed, my response had nothing to do with you or your post.

I had snapped like a glass rod, and needed to release some tension. I chose a poor venue.

Clintons task force came up with varying degrees of privatization too.

And look what happened when we kept it out of the evil free market - instead of 1/2 left, we have none.

I want my boss to drive a Rolls. If he's got money I MIGHT get a raise. If he doesn't I certainly won't.

Hi Eddie
