You think you got hit hard?

Before you complain about the losses to your 401k, think about the people who have been hit much harder than you. It’s easy to forget, but the mega-wealthy have far, far more invested in the stock market than you and me. In much the same way the super-rich pay the bulk of our nations taxes, they disproportionately suffer the devastating losses of a bad day on Wall Street. In fact, there are a lot of people who took no losses at all in the stock market free-fall. The same super-poor bottom feeders who pay no taxes also get off Scott-free in a market decline.

It’s time for us to put this injustice to rest once and for all. We need to show the ultra-wealthy that we’re sensitive to their plight. These are the job creators, and we need to bolster their faith that they can amass ever increasing wealth through thick and thin. To that end, I suggest we all cash out what little value is left in our 401k accounts and donate it to a rich person. Let’s show them that they are well and truly our masters and if they will just please, please give us jobs we’ll give all the fruit of our labor over to them. They can eliminate our Unions, raid our pension funds and cover less and less of our health care costs. We’ll be happy to work harder for less so that they may prosper and have confidence in our economy.

Won’t you please help?

I think we have a whole party dedicated to that premise.

Those poor folks! I never realized theya had it so hard. I do have to say I am having a hard time determining wether to send my money to these folks or the guy on TV with the suit and hands flailing in the air. You know the guy, the one who says the end of times is on us and we need to pray for peace. Just send him a donation so that he can count us in his prayers.

Tough choice.

+1. Fuck those assholes. I wouldn't care if they ended up eating their own children. Well, then I might send them a bottle of A1.

Now that is cold, but colder than laying off 1500 people in time to collect a $10 million bonus?

Regards,

D-Ray

Of course the altruistic alternative would be to donate the bonus and offer those 1500 people $10M/1500 = $6,666 as a salary for the next year..

Or you could lay off only 1300 people ($50K * 200) and take a chance at losing one mgr that's key to survival for next year.

You ever have to lay people off D-Ray? It's got nothing to do with greed. In fact, I've seen more of the opposite. Where management gets paid last.. But continue with the stereotypes.
