Real professionals don't want to work for the Orange Menace. It is either a career destroyer or such a bad job no one wants it. So we will probably get some Bannon approved hack, or Bannon as de facto NSA.

The rot is at the top and is trickling down. Plus there are no Undersecretary of States yet for the same reason: no one wants to be associated with the disrupter party. Who would want to kill their careers or reputations?

As long as Trump insists on keeping Bannon and KT McFarland on the NSC, he'll have a hard time finding anybody worth a damn. Consider for a moment that the Commander of the Special Operation Command, General Tony Thomas, recently said:

“Our government continues to be in unbelievable turmoil. I hope they sort it out soon because we’re a nation at war."

I would rather have the Trump cabinet in turmoil. This will alienate both parties and keep the damage from a Trump administration to a bare minimum.

Being an eternal optimist, I hope our constitution will put sufficient roadblocks on Trump's agenda for 'change' and embolden the media to make life difficult for Trump and his administration. Imagine what he could do if he knew what he was doing and had qualified administration to execute his policies!

Having said that, Steve Bannon is dangerous lurking in the shadows of the WH.

That is kinda like saying I would like to fly in a jumbo jet across the ocean without any co- pilots or navigator in the cockpit. Obviously Trump can't do national security alone. He is not an Obama or even a George W. Bush.

As long as there's a pilot I wouldn't have any concern and given how advanced avionic software has become, large planes practically fly themselves, even not having a pilot wouldn't concern me all that much, especially if I was at the controls during landing. Landing is the most difficult part of flying a plane and I safely landed a B-2 back in 2001. No practice and I had never played a flight simulator computer game.
