'Inventing David Geffen' on PBS. Very cool story of the guy who started Asylum Records and it encompases the early L.A. Sunset Strip music scene of Joni, CSNY, The Eagles and on and on and on to John Lennon (DoubleFantasy) to Broadway (Cats) all the way to DreamWorks with Katzenburg and Spielberg. Best buds with Bill Clinton and a fearless supporter of LGBT rights.

If there's one guy who really pisses off the right wingnuttery intelligentsia? It's this cat from Brooklyn who loves music and the art of the deal.

here ya go.

Finally went and saw 'The Butler' while we were bombing the house for fleas. Not bad at all.

Saw the latest Star Trek last night.

Not bad, I wonder how hard those guys study the old shows & movies to get the characters right. They do a good job.

'Searching For Sugar Man' again. The story of a Detroit musician who never found popularity in America. Like something out of a fairytale, his angst driven music with it's gritty lyrics was discovered by South Africans fighting apartheid in the 80s and 90s. It was banned from radio play by Pik Botha's repressive government which of course added to it's cache. He became more popular than the Rolling Stones. If you haven't seen it, you should.
