Yes, but a story everyone needs to know. The Right learners are fine with a story like this being one never told! For for shows the a failing in ultra conservatism!

Not a move but I've been binge watching the History Channel Series, "Vikings". The Dark Ages was always my favorite period of history and I find this series to be excellent with regard to historical verisimilitude. The story, fictionalized accounts of the real (or legendary) exploits of real people, is pretty engaging.

It's on Hulu.
