Explain to me just how setting yourself on fire works as a protest?


I see it as a "I'll show you" "You'll be sorry" protest from a sick mind....

It works not very well, any more. People just shrug you off as a suicidal nut. Back in the 1960s though the Buddhist monks doing it in South Vietnam shocked everyone and had a big impact. It was a new thing to everyone then.

Or..

Understand the reasoning and somewhat their belief system. Leaving this life with a statement, act to move forward toward final enlightenment nirvana heaven....
