Sorry it didn't work out. Outside looking in it seems like it could've been neat, the trailer is cool anyway.

How long were you in California?

Never made it past Arizona and Nevada on that trip.

But we did make another Grapes of Wrath journey in 1962 when we did.

I think we stayed a couple of months then, with some friends of my mother's up in Fremont.

I will say this, the west is a beautiful place. That's why I want to make another trip out there before I kick the bucket.

It was the first of many "Grapes of Wrath" kind of trips we made while I was growing up.

None of which worked out.

Probably part of the reason I relate to my username.

When I went into the Air Force they had us fill out this form with every address that you had lived at your whole life along with the dates that you had lived at each one.

I managed to come up with 21 or 22, but I couldn't remember them all, so I had to fudge some of the dates so that all the time was covered.

Did the Air Force give you a gateway into a stabler life?
