Unhappy Weather

Just when I was going to bitch about the Santa Ana winds ripping outside my window this afternoon, I went here... http://www.weather.gov/Radar

Keep your heads down and eyes on the sky midwesterners.

It was absolutely perfect here all day today. I went everywhere by bicycle, gym, grocery store, auto parts store..............

No gasoline burned at all.

We just had a Super-cell blow over the city a little bit ago. Lisa and the cat's were in the basement closet under the steps for a while. I watched the wall cloud blow right over the house. We ended up with heavy rain and wind gusts of 70+.

I've lived through 52 years of this weather and it still fascinates me. My heart rate was up on this one, watching that wall cloud.

I confess to getting a grin watching the world jiggle and dance in the occasional earthquake we get out here. Love me a good lightning storm, too.

Rain is a Good Thing - Luke Bryan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VKy69sE4VY

There is an older gentleman in this video @ 0:05, the man that says, "Corn, peanuts, cotton." He reminds me of my friend's dad to a tee. He passed away several years ago. Before he did he went through a phase of letting things go. One of the things he let go was an old Gibson Les Paul guitar that he played in a hillbilly band. He gave the guitar to a neighborhood kid that he barely knew. I thought that was pretty cool.

I'll try to stay dry through the rain!

A tree in our region overturned in a severe thunderstorm in our region yesterday and killed a nine years old boy.
