They need to eliminate insurance companies and reign in the over pricing of the pharmaceutical companies.

Just how many Doctor offices get lunch provided by the suits from Big Phama? Every time I see the suits and their two wheel dolly full of samples at a Doctors office I wounder if a new med will be offered later to me. You have CEO's of providers making tens of millions a year, just where is that coming from? Why?

The costs would be cut the greatest by eliminating all the multitudes of plans and having one for all. Saving by simplicity.

I say legalize pot and tax to provide healthcare as a start.

Sorry, this is a red herring. Are you suggesting that, under ACA rules (and the myriad other state and federal insurance regs), that carriers don't have couldn't figure out how to turn a profit, or even break even, but the Feds could?

Nope, I am stating that maintaining a high level of public health is one of the paramount concerns of government, and should not be left to the designs of profit based insurance companies.

We are forgetting the lessons learned from the 1930s, and our national government is in the group thrall of nihilistic and nacissistic thinking. This is going to get ugly.

Our nation's state of health and health care system argue otherwise.
