When did BLM become "law enforcement?" So you think BLM & a Sheriff are equals when it comes to law enforcement?
Anyone else buy this?

I would say that a federal court and federal marshalls trump a sheriff, or even a governor, when it comes to jurisdiction over federal land.

BLM is not law enforcement. What is so hard to understand. I know you think the Post Office is law enforcement to...correct?

Maybe not, but I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make the post office law enforcement. I'm not aware of any laws or regulations against it. If there are, by all means, enlighten me.

Smells like a standing army to me.
I bring it up because they are buying lots of ammunition.
Shouldn't it be an act of Congress anyway?

Except no one seems to have told this to the governor or the senator. What a joke these people are putting politics ahead of the law.
Nevada's GOP governor, senator back Bundy ranch over federal law

You must learn to make a little bit finer distinctions. For example, letter Carriers are not law enforcement. But Postal Inspectors are. Many BLM types have no law enforcement powers. But Rangers do.

No I understand it. The BLM is responsible for administering the federal land. When someone is operating on federal land contrary to the laws or regulations, the BLM can go to court to have the court determine whether a violation has occurred. Bundy had the opportunity to litigate his position in court and lost. He went to the court of appeals and lost. Then he defied the court order. The federal marshalls have the authority to enforce court orders.
And actually there is a law enforcment wing in the Post Office - postal inspectors.

D-Ray
