Keep in mind that the Lying Dotard already told the G-7 that he felt that NATO was "as bad as NAFTA." Feckin' traitor.

Donald Trump trashed Nato, saying it was “as bad as Nafta”, the North American free trade agreement the US president openly despises, European officials have confirmed.

Trump’s inflammatory remarks – made in private at the G7 summit in Quebec earlier this month – were first reported by Axios and confirmed on Thursday by two European officials.

He's got a point, however you might characterize his choice of words:

http://www.businessinsider.com/nato-...country-2017-2

Countries that fall below the required 2% of GDP contribution include your favored Germany, our neighbor to the north - currently run by a 12 year old - Canada.

Um, no. The 12 year old currently occupies the Oval Office.

So, you're OK with dissing our longest, most loyal allies while lavishing praise on the likes of Putin, Kim, Duterte, Erdogan...? I guess I already have my answer by virtue of you referring to Trudeau as a 12 year old.

OK Bob, here you go. This is a perfect example of a straw man argument. Per your post to me in the Kennedy retirement thread, should I await your words of encouragement to Finn, who employs this tactic frequently, to consider altering his rhetoric?

I won't hold my breath.

Read your own post again. You're expressing disapproval of our NATO allies in defense of your Dear Leader while dissing Trudeau, exactly as I asserted.

Yes, I did. You then created a straw man, conflating this with "... lavishing praise on the likes of Putin, Kim, Duterte, Erdogan..." One doesn't equal the other, thus its a textbook straw man argument.

You do this often, Finn. You obviously need "encouragement" from Bob, per his earlier post, to help you overcome this rhetorical deficit.

It was grammatical screw-up on my part. I should have asked "So, you're OK with Trump dissing our longest, most loyal allies while he lavishes praise on the likes of Putin, Kim, Duterte, Erdogan...? I suspect you knew that full well what I was saying (that Trump lavishes praise on despots, not you) and tried to squirm away from responding whether that was OK with you or not. Anyway, is it?

For US, NATO has long outlived its usefulness and thinking of nations like Germany and France as loyal allies is a mistake.

Like I said, you're dishonest to the core, Mike.
