Fair and ballanced!
Pretty good job showing Fox "News" - no, the "news" part of Fox news, not the opinion side of Fox news - showing some, well, opinion.

Love to see the outrage if Katie Couric said "yeah, just loser taxes- that's the solution to everything isn't it? Lower taxes?! Hum". She'd be kicked out of town faster than you can say hypocrite.

"Fair and Balanced" should be changed to "Obsessed and Paranoid".
After Obama is no longer President in 2012 (or maybe 2016), they'll be insisting the period be left blank in the history books, so as not to "indoctrinate" future children.
"Oh there was a President then, but we don't talk about him because he was a Socialist/Communist/anti-Christ/Enemy of Humanity/Space Alien/Citizen of Kenya/Mass Hypnotist/liar/mongrel/Boogeyman/Nazi and just a generally bad person who brainwashed children.
Now don't forget to bring your tin-foil hats tomorrow, children. We're going to talk about how faggots cause earthquakes and how a smart investor who made $3 billion outsourcing your daddies job deserves every penny, but a plumber who makes $18 an hour is a greedy bastard that's out to destroy America."
If I had kids--I would rather have Obama "indoctrinate" them, thank you.

Is that the view of fair and balanced from the totalitarians?

I am a greedy bastard that has a problem bowing down in righteous worship of the politically enlightend(you can replace the last six words with "extremist republicans").
I recently got into an argument with a near and dear friend about this. So, I took an hour and a half the next day to watch fox to see what the real issues were.
My opinions, Fox did a really good job presenting data, it was presented in a very right wing fashion. They talked about health care and what it would cost. They talked about front loading funds and backloading expenses. This stuff was all true and acurate. So what was the problem.
Two things. First, they never once talked about the needs of health care. They never talked about the problems trying to be adressed. They never presented all of the thoughts that ewent into the arguments and the reasoning behind doing it the way it is presented. Would cnn do any better? I doubt it. Probably just as far left as these guys are right.
However, ther was a much bigger problem. IN the commentaries, tehy used a lot of adjectives in describing the motives of the democrats. Things like deception, ignorance, naiveity, etc. In other words, they used a good amount of accurate data to securea trust, then proceeded to lead the viewer down a path to describe the motivcation ofthe left. This was completely untue and deliberate. It rang of extremist hatred.
My observations of course.;

There is not a day that passes now, that I don't feel encouraged by the knowledge that I am not alone.
Thanks, JCricket!

Nope, because I don't want anyone using the criminal process to decide what I can say. The First Amendment even protects the sorry hides of Rupert Murdoch and Rush Limbaugh. We just need more peoply like Stewart, who can point out the fallacy of Fox without boring people to death. And people who can effectively communicate fallacy can rise to power. Just ask the author of Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot. I think his name is Senator Franken.
Regards,
D-Ray

The part that gets under my skin is exactly what I laid out in my first post - if any other network aired the commentary in their "news" coverage that we see in that clip, Rush, Beck and a hoard of tea baggers would be marching in the street to have them fired. Yet it's okay when they do it. Not even noticed. Amazing. If you're going to get fired up about "bias in the media" then you have to call it every time. It makes the right wing look like exactly what they are- egotistical hypocrites.
