Gee, I wonder why?

"Where two or more are gathered together in my name, there shall I be also".

It surely must work for He has been very, very good to us.

That puts me in mind of Rev. Jim Wallis and "Sojourners".

Thank you for tipping us off on a wonderful website.

You know I needed an excuse to spend more time online.

Here is an article I came accross on one of the blogs included there.

http://blog.sojo.net/2009/11/06/big-...nd-social-sin/

The author was spot on when he observed that the social conservatives on the right are most concerned about sins related to sex, but give short shrift to ones having to do with senseless war or greed.

Finally, I guess I was vague when I mentioned a group of people interested in reclaiming Christianity - I was actually speaking of my Sunday School class and other people in the church that I don't attend nearly often enough.

For several years, the church had a program going on that we called the Cultural Bridge group. We reached out for relationships with a Conservative Synagogue and with an African Methodist Eposcopal church. We made some great friends, and overcame a misperception or two. There is now a multi-faith youth group being started in Kansas City that is part of a national program founded by an American born man who was raised in the Hindu faith. There are faithful people of many different religions who believe in peace and service to others.

Regards,

D-Ray
