Gov. Northam D-Va. in Blackface?
"RICHMOND — Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) on Friday acknowledged appearing in a “clearly racist and offensive” photograph in his 1984 medical school yearbook that shows a man in blackface and another in a Ku Klux Klan robe.
“I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now,” he said. “This behavior is not in keeping with who I am today and the values I have fought for throughout my career in the military, in medicine, and in public service. But I want to be clear, I understand how this decision shakes Virginians’ faith in that commitment.”
Northam, 59, did not say if he was the man dressed in blackface or Klan robes. Calls for his resignation came from the NAACP, the Republican Governors’ Association, the state’s Republican party and some national Democrats - including presidential hopefuls Kamala Harris and Julian Castro." WaPo

I love how our resident idiot goes quiet for months, during dozens of Repube scandals, and the shutdown of government by his dear leader, but suddenly pops out of his groundhog hole to post a diversion. Such an ass.

Busiest time of year at work. Been away for a while. But I see your vapid approach hasn't changed much.

And you are as clueless and disgustingly ignorant as ever. Look forward to lots of laughs at your stupidity.

Actually, I was right on topic - Democrats who like KKK costumes. But speaking of deflection, there's no better tactician than you, and here you are right on schedule changing the topic to Trump. You've not lost your predictable style either.

You're too much of a cultist to realize that you and your fellow MAGAMorons have no moral standing to criticize anyone for racism, misogyny, greed, corruption, dishonesty, narcissism, juvenile behavior ...
As for Robert Byrd, the only thing that really distinguishes him from other well-known Dixiecrats (e.g., Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms) was that he didn't switch to the GOP when it embraced institutional racism. In other words, he reformed himself whereas the Dixiecrats who became Republicans didn't. In 2005 he said, "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ... and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."

So, what's the difference here? Byrd was forgiven for ACTUALLY BEING IN THE KLAN. Northam has apologized for being in a photo - either dressed in KKK garb or blackface we're not sure. Byrd - it could be argued - engaged in far worse than Northam, and Obama called him a true champion and "a voice of principle and reason."
Byrd's name still appears on myriad buildings in his honor, and Northam is on the verge of being thrown under a bus.
Things that make you go hmmmmm.....

He's probably aware he just doesn't care. Mr. WHELL is utterly tribal, and loves to fight. All that matters to him is finding any rotten stick to swing at us.
