I haven't had a moving violation since 1969, when I was young and stupid.
I am sick and tired of having to watch out for idiots on the road that can't be bothered to observe the traffic laws.
If I were a traffic court judge I would be known as "The hanging Judge".

That was back when I was young. These days it's an Expedition, but I'm seriously thinking of getting an Excursion. I drove a Toyota minitruck for years. Now I get into a Japanese vehicle and I hit my head on the roof and bang my elbow on the door. I only drive about 3500 miles a year.
Recently I drove a friends new Tesla. That thing is a whole bunch of fun. It takes getting used to the absence of engine noise and a 17 inch LCD for all the controls. This one was fully optioned and was over 100K. They're assembled in the old Fremont Toyota facility.

I have not been a fan of Range Rover since they went upscale. I always like the original Landrover that was popular in Africa.

Indeed. I also always liked the old J40 Toyota Land Cruiser.

And at one time you could pick one up at a reasonable cost. Here in SoCal they've become expensive. There are a lot of desert rats around these parts. Do you remember the BMW 3.0Csi? I always wanted one with the Alpina package and paint scheme.

Very well. It has always been my favorite BMW. IIRC, John (Boreas) may have had one. The new 4 series from BMW seems to be the latest reincarnation of that line, now that BMW's continue to get bigger (the 6 series was the follow-on to the 3.0 line).
When I moved to Germany in 1978, there were still quite a few 3.0 CSi and 2002tii models on the road, along with a few older 356 Porsches and older SL Mercedes. I love these old German classics. Attached is a picture of a nice 3.0 CSi I took at the BMW museum in Munich 2 years ago.

A carbureted 3.0 CS, a '73 as I recall. I liked it a lot but the paint was shit. Had to have it resprayed twice in a coupe of years. The last time, while it was at the shop waiting to be repainted, it was destroyed in a flood.

$490 for the citation.
$57 for traffic school
The yellow light was three seconds long. I can time it from the video.
Maybe I will fight it by written declaration or show up and throw myself on the mercy of the court.
I have to pay first of course.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. My one and only was about $350 plus traffic school. I would pay it and not waste yours or the judges time.
